wild cherrys

I have found what i believe to be a few wild cherry trees but i aint to sure if its a bird cherry tree can i eat the cherrys from both trees?

Wild cherries can be a bit sour to eat, but are good for making wine / jam with even so. Obviously the sweet ones are fine to eat.
Cherries don't set that well as a jam, so you may need to add some cooking apple or redcurrants to help the set.

I've always tasted the cherries and picked them if I like them.

Had a fantastic haul from some parks in Oxford this year about 6KG in the freezer (and very stained hands from stoning), all but over now though Crying or Very sad

Great for baking.
