Wild garlic

...as far as the eye can see. A picture from our local woodlands, loads of it about at the moment.

I love it. Looks lovely with a blanket of bluebells intermingled. Picked some big leaves this morning to eat wrapped round roasted goats cheese.

There were loads of bluebells out as well although many plants seem to be showing the effects of the lack of rain.

Here's a pic looking in the opposite direction, proof indeed that ramsons can spread a bit. Laughing

The lack of rain is worrying me. The marsh orchids that should be showing their face about now are nowhere to be seen.

5 minutes walk away, taken two weeks ago. If we'd turned around and taken one the other way all you would see is wild garlic.
