Is the top one an inline filter? Bottom one looks like a heater, but with no element (or cable...)

What's an inline filter?
The bottom one is almost definitely something for filtering I think. It has a hollow rigid plastic tube attached 'bout 20cm long. (Can't remember where it came from but I think it came with a load of winemaking kit aaages ago.)

Definitely a filter. Dunno if all the parts are there though, or whether you can even still get the filter paper inserts for them.
The other one... Is it the end of a plastic tube, and does that end part go in to the filter apparatus?

Not to worry, I have thought of how useful the long sticky thing is until I remember to buy a proper siphon tube.
