Yoghurt - How long should a culture last ?How long should I be able to reuse my yoghurt culture ?
When making beer, I reuse the yeast for around three generations... after that there's a risk of infection. I wonder if the same applies to ye humble yoghurt.

My mum doesn't renew hers unless she goes on holiday for over a week (very rare) in which case she gets some starter yog from a friend of hers. She's probably had times when she's used teh same culture for years at a time.

Yes, for my sins. I try to write about downsizing in Welsh. There doesn't seem to be many other people doing it so I siarad Cymraeg to myself.
The red currants came from a young red currant bush... variety Johnkeer van Tets. Very tasty.
Cheers.

How about having a dysgwr Cymraeg section, Rhiddid? Then you'd have some others to siarad to.
