I want to make fridge magnets and magnetic bookmarks for Christmas presents, but don't know where to get the magnet sheets from! I have tried the Hobbycraft website and they hadn't got anything like that. My local handicrafts shop hasn't even got it in her suppliers catalogue. Any ideas, please? |

is it the magnet sheets you can put through the printer, or the heavier ones you need? |

That's a great help, thanks! I need the thinnest sort of magnet for the bookmarks which will be stuck onto a laminated piece of card, and that would probably do OK for fridge magnets as these days the picture ones seem to be as thin as credit cards! (More decorative than practical, but I think that's what I want! |

I got some of their super strong magnets to hold up curtains on the back door of my camper van. Much easier than putting up curtain rails and sewing. I also got some of the magnets with hooks to hang keys and things on. |

I always wonder if their packages stick to the side of the postbox and the postie collector has to lever them off |

I bought some from staples. I laminated them, and write shopping lists in whiteboard marker on them. Sometimes. |

only cause of all the other crap magnetted to the fridge. I used to just write on the fridge, but my new one is rough, so you can't clean it off. |

once upon a time, in more efficient days, I had a packet of multicolour magnetic strips that I slapped onto the washing machine to show the colour of the wash - that way I didn't put black jumpers in after fluffy white towels (and vice versa)
Mainly though, I use magnets to pin prints onto my steel wall to view them. And I have those superduper high strength magnets for holding large heavyweight art paper inkjets - they're so strong they have to be used with extreme caution though, they fly onto the board when they're further away than you expect, then need levering off. |
