I made this, a shoe rack. Sanded and varnished, it stands in my front porch, very useful.

You can sell them if they are of decent quality and in reasonable shape. |

After the glowing recommendation from my two friends: Richard & Pilsbury.
I thought that I had better take the time to post and tell you all that I am the maker of these Pallet reclamation bars.
The bars are £35 each + P&P, although at the moment I am trying to sort out a cost effective carrier for them, as I consider the big 5 carriers to be unjustifiably expensive.
The bars are available in three sizes:
500 mm long X 55 mm tine gap for removing roofing battens.
750 mm long X 80 mm tine gap for stripping most Euro and light duty pallets.
1000 mm long X 105 mm tine gap for heavier duty pallets.
Other sizes are available upon request.

When I need to strip down a pallet I use a builder's pickaxe:
put one end of the iron diagonally under a plank near the nails, with the end of the handle supported by another plank, use the handle to lever the plank up, giving extra leverage by putting a foot on the other end of the iron.
This sounds more complicated than it actually is, get a pallet and a pick and give it a go. I can strip a pallet down in just a few minutes. |
