Many of us use Kiva to help loan tiny amounts of money to someone who really needs it. Currently, they're offering free loans of twenty five dollars.

It costs you not, and helps someone else get a foot on their ladder.

We have a Downsizer team, if you want to join, or you can remain anonymous if you wish.

We're only ten loans away from ten grand lend out.

Free loans are new people only, I'm afraid.

I think I'm in credit - I will go and have a look and do some re-loaning.

There are various teams you can join up to - it's in your account settings under My Team, the loans you make then go towards your teams totals - it's just a bit of fun

For reasons that escape me, really, lenders can form teams, although there's nothing competitive about it. Team members can see what others have been up to and the cumulative affect. Or effect. Whichever. Downsizer is a team, anyone's welcome to join, and when I kicked this thread off, we'd currently loaned out $9,750. Which isn't nothing.

ETA: We're now at $9,925.

I got there in the end... just when I joined I couldn't see anything about teams until pointed out... It's a rather nice way of tallying up I think and also seeing what others are doing,

Oh and I posted a picture up and noticed another quite similar in the downsizer team... Wildfoodie - you must be a long lost sister!! LOL
