I'm inspired,
but so out of touch with what looks good on me I can't decide whether a drop waist is a good idea...I have a bit of a natural waist but it's hardly hourglass... any ideas?
DS dress challenge anyone?
( sorry to hijack)

fitted waist with light boning for control and shaping. sounds overkill, but it barely notices in wear and gives a line you'll be delighted with |

50's stuff is the most flattering, I reckon. For everyone. I must get round to making a corset.
Although, I really can't see you in white gloves and a clutch bag, mochyn! I do like the dress though- might buy one myself. |

Funnily enough, I've been thinking about dresses for summer and even went as far as buying a pattern the other day....
I couldn't decide on fabric as am not entirely sure the thing will suit me which makes spending thirty quid on fabric hard to do. My plan, in my spare time of course, was to knock one up out of an old sheet to see if I like it and then get some fabric. I could do with incentivising so am def up for a challenge, though finding the battery for my camera so I can prove I've done it may be more of a challenge as haven't seen it for weeks! |

I am a dressmaking failure - but I'm persevering in the teach yourself corner
Fortunately when I end up mothing through another disaster, at least I can tear it into strips for the rag rugging |
