We were discussing the merits of various veg over a bottle of wine and some beers last night (I know, don't we live on the edge!).

So if you were stranded on a desert island (that just coincidently had a uk climate) and you only had 3 types of veg seeds to sow and grow, what would they be?

Cabbage
Leek
Carrot

All a bit boring , but you did say UK climate, so I think these would give longest span of crops.

If there was plenty of foragable food and you were just growing luxury suppliments then I would go for

Tomatoes
French bean
Courgettes

I'm sure the Boglin child would want potatoes.
She once declared that she would simply DIE if there were no roast potatoes.
