My usual spot for finding Ceps is under quite a bit of water at the moment....has this killed any chance of anything growing this year or is there still hope if it dries out ? |

I think you've more or less told us.I think the mycellium may have taken a knock and if the waterlogging isn't too long it may come back-maybe at worst miss a season.Ceps do not grow where the water table is high or where there is seasonal waterlogging ,they like dry wood edges. |

Thanks Bubble, this spot is usually very dry but there is nowhere for all the heavy rainfall to drain to - i think i may have to dig a few escape routes  |
