make onion soup. 6-8 onions 6 cloves garlic a couple of tablespoons of salted butter. a hand full of thyme 1.5 pints of stock salt and pepper sweat sliced onions and garlic for around and hour in a large dollop of salted butter. add the stock, herbs and seasoning and simmer for a further 20 mins. Serve with a little grated cheese. serves around 6-8.
