I found this today, under the Chicken house amongst the Leylandii shavings:

I am doing a sore print at the moment. Could someone please help with an ID?

Initially, I thought it might be a sickener but considering the colour is a dark almost blackish brown, I thought maybe not.

Not on buried wood but on wood-chippings that have rotted down over the last year.

It was not growing in a cluster but they were growing close enough together for a cluster to form. Lyophyllum decastes, is quite close in appearance.

Thanks for your reply.

Spore print seems to be medium brown.

I'm double checking because it was the faintest brown and I can't be certain if it was soil or spore. On the whole, I think spore.
