I'm looking for barbecue food and as it's far too early for my brain to be awake I tried the database. I put in barbecue and vegetarian and got brown sauce, nothing else! Is there a better way of searching?

falafel shish kebab, make the mix with extra gram flour so as it sticks to a flat skewer oil the outside ,support the skewers rather than the mix on the bbq

Vegetarian BBQ?
Isn't that the salad that you serve with the real BBQ?

veg parcels...various veg cooked in herby butter..wrapped in tin foil and slowly cooked over 'not so hot' part of barbeque.
Small turnips cooked this way on their own..no additions until eating time is loooovely..they are so sweet and soft..just knob of butter and spoon all soft turnip flesh into mouth..mmmm =baby food for adults..

It's for a fortnight's time which means that some of those suggestions are not available, well they probably are but that condemns me to a visit to Morrison's.

I'm not allowed to do barbecues without halloumi.

I usually do skewers of vegetables. Parcels of vegetables might be a better idea in case the weather is bad. You nearly sold me on the turnips finsky, nearly, horrid vegetable.

Stuffed mushrooms would work as well.

It won't be entirely vegetarian but mostly would be good. We are celebrating my sister's birthday and she has been a vegetarian for most of her life.

Time to list ideas on facebook so that the twenty or so other members of my family can disagree and suggest what they want. That will be fun.

You could do a whole lamb, I think they're made almost entirely of grass and milk.
