I have acquired a clump of tree onion bulbs, straight off the plant.
They have started putting out roots already.
Should I plant them up as they are (as they would plant themselves in the open), or should I tease out the individual bulbs and pot them individually?

i have done it like garlic and separated them into single cloves, it worked .
tis a bit like planting out sets so usual spacing for type of plant etc.
