easier than fresh cos the fruit is a bit mushy and takes little breaking open

it should be ready for winter,very nice in hot toddys as well as with white wine or drizzled over pud.

i use equal volumes of berries and vodka which gives a final abs of around 20%

smash up the berries,steep in the vodka for several months ,sieve ,bottle.

Buy 'alcool pour fruits' seeing as you're in that France. Cheaper than nice vodka and nicer than cheap vodka.

i dont use sugar with sweet fruits,sloes yep

must remember to make fruity drinks as well as wine

very large kilner jar full of vodka and blackcurrants started for cassis.
How long does this take ?

I made blackcurrant cordial with the rest of the fruit..making room in a small chest freezer
The sieved pulp is back in the freezer until next week for blackcurrant and apple cheese.
