And the fridge has won out for the summer.
Only realised earlier on today that the dodgy guts I've had over most of the weekend (along with feeling hot and shivery) were not caused by too much homebrew, but were more likely the after-effects of eating half a cold omelette on Friday afternoon - left uncovered on the stovetop overnight from Thursday.
Serves me right, and to **** with the cost of electric to run the fridge in hot weather, and reducing electricity consumption.

Poor you. Hope all is well now.
I think I would switch the fridge back on too.

Once everything that can errrm, 'exit' from which ever end of your body has done, don't eat but try sipping on Coke - highly recommended for dodgy tums by my Doctor. Sounds daft, but always works for me and Gervase, and my 11 year old will also vouch for it.

Your fridge works most economically when it's not empty, and not full. There's bound to be a dull and worthy equation to explain how full it ought to be for maximum savings (hello Dougal, do you have your clipboard to hand?).
Once that figure has been revealed, I suggest you fill it to the prcise level with beer. The World Cup's acoming, remember, and you'll need some refreshment.

Oh, it's an incredible achievement. They're going to have fun in Europe next year.

The bit that made me chuckle was that they have a population of about 2,000. And they were allocated 10,000 tickets for the match.
It'll be fun if Barcelona or Milan ever come to play there. Their ground is like a Sunday league pitch.

Have you tried Pepsi? IMHO its even better - more sugar (BTW people, don't even think about a 'diet' variety for medical use), and not quite so acid or fizzy.
Sugar for fast nourishment. Caffeine to perf you up. A bit of rehydration after all the water you've doubtless lost. And a bit acidic so that its not fighting your digestive juices. Both the Lucozade of my childhood and today's salted ("mineralised") isotonic drinks lack the caffeine - which is why you'll likely feel better on Pepsi (or Coke) - for medicinal purposes only! Can you get Red Bull on prescription?
