What do you stick labels to your wine bottles with?

I have been using a flour and water mix, with the idea that this will wash off for the next round easily. Unfortunately the labels fall off all to easily to

Self adhesive sticky labels, of the type you might find on a roll in an office. They soak off easily enough.

I prefer to print the labels, as my writing is awful.

Then you can buy sheets of printable lables then.

Can you not simply label the shelves?

So far I'm leaning towards elastic bands.

They can perish very quickly.

Your writing is so bad you can't read the labels?

I tend to only put a more professional, printed label on if I'm giving the wine away. Then I use a pritt stick (doesn't have to stay on long).
