Our new logo care of Fee is a ".fla" file in its raw form.

Flash a bit of a new one on me any pointers?

I believe it can only be opened with Macromedia Flash, Jema

Been thinking (ot oh), I could always layer it up in a Photoshop file if you like?

Sure gimp treates PSD file the same way as Photoshop does?
