I picked the last cucumber today -
from an unheated small plastic greenhouse -in November ( , )
Cucumbers are one of the things I really miss during the winter months and so look forward to as the start of summer |

I reckon I have one last picking of tomatoes to go, and then I need to dig up the sweet potatoes.
I do find this moment ever so slightly depressing as it means there won't be any more worthwhile fresh tomatoes until next June at the earliest. |
