My name is beckyboots and i am loving this forum already. But i am a little confused at how late in the year it is and weather or not i should go out and look for some fungi.

Blimey no! Some people are coming back with basket loads every day at the moment. Just look at some of the recent threads in this forum!

Welcome! In many parts of the country, people are being inundated with mushrooms at the moment - get out there & look! Lots of lovely pics in the Posts of what is around  |

Snaffled a lot of slippery jack yesterday, and a few parasols. And that was just from a cycle-by sighting. Lots around at the moment. |

Basically you can get most of the Autumnal mushrooms. It's been an interesting season. By this time last year everything was over, apart from Blewits and Winter Chanterelles. |
