Have you tried a commercial cooking catalogue like Nisbets---I got some decent round deep plastic boxes there. Not come across any non plastic ones though.

This looks like a possibility, the issue here I suspect would be getting the cake back out again

thanks

Just put the cake in upside down (no, put the tupperware upside down, so you rest the cake on the lid like a plate, and then put the tin over the top)

My credit card hovers over these, all the time. I haven't clicked yet, though......

ETA and this

I love EB too, if you ever get to the shop in Stoke you can buy it a lot cheaper. I'm collecting the british birds mugs at the moment.

That would be fab. We come up to Ross to visit the outlaws, so I'm sure I could pick stuff up sooner or later. Thank you.

Does anyone know where to get the tiered cake tins that you used to get - you know 3 layers each one is the lid to the one underneath and then one lid on the top. Pref pretty as it would be for a present. Lakelands did one a few years ago but haven't done for a while....

That does look promising, the advantage of it being metal to is the lid will be easier to open if put in upside down

ooh interesting- I am currently looking into selling cakes/biscuits in tins on my website. I have found a supplier and have contacted them for details. I may be able to supply the tins empty if need be.

When you get details it would be good to hear them. Though if they are of an appropriate size and they had to turn up filled with biscuits or cakes I am sure we would survive
