What about an air rifle? Or even something like a seaweed mulch might help. |

You are both very welcome to a fistful - it's nice to think of things "going home" and if I don't pass them on appropriately I'd only wind up swapping them for a cow or something. I'll sort out a few mysterious packages of anything that's going to be spare too, just in case, and people can have a snuffle through them and see if anything inspires. |

umm, if someone else would like my share of the Bridgwater beans, they're welcome.
Don't want the whole garden smelling of cellophane
Or webbed fingers.
Fee, I ended up with about 35 yinyang beans from your five beans given at Alison's and passed a handful on to Gardening Girl. Assuming hers didn't go into the washing machine, we should have enough to eat in a couple of years
I grew Martock beans for historical nostalgia years ago, made me understand how grim peasant winters must have been round here. |

Oh and I'm slipping from 'maybe' to 'unlikely' and Mr Y is a definite no - he'll be in the opposite corner of the country by then, north-east Scotland.
Do you want any quinces this year Jamanda? I may have a few survivors to put into GG's camper van. |

Yes please! I haven't seen a quince in years, and we used the last of the jelly a couple of months ago.
What can I send back as a swap? Soap? Bramble jelly? Spicy plum chutney? |

Thought I was doing you a favour , bringing you some beans back!
The Ying-Yang beans are in a cash bag on my dressing table where hopefully they will stay put until needed. If I put them somewhere safe,we all know what happens.
Plenty of room for quinces in Dora, they can go next to Chez,s rugs. |

So far we've got the people on the front page coming. I make it 27, of whom some are quite small.
Sean & I will do an Irish stew and provide clotted cream, bread, butter and some home brew and soft drinks and milk.
Gardening girl is doing Homity pie
Helen M is doing lasagne.
Chickem is doing Mince pies and treacle tarts and annihilation by chocolate.
Fee is bringing TEA (not to be confused with the stuff that comes in pots) and Christmas cake and Wensleydale.
Vanessa is in charge of tea and coffe and cheery pithiviers
Sally has volunteered Gareth's chocolate nipples of Venus
TD is bringing nibbly bits.
What else? More cake? More homebrew? Something veggie? Any volunteers?
People making/bringing stuff please at least make a note of what it costs even if it's awkward to fetch receipts. And yes Fee, there will be a small charge for the hall - shouldn't need more than two or three quid per person to cover costs and reimburse folks.
I haven't confirmed times with the hall yet. What shall I say? We'll start at 1pm - if people got there then I would be happy to do a foraging walk seeing as there seems to still be a few mushies about. Eat from 4pm onwards, making sure we leave some for Snowball and Jema. Be cleared up and out by 7pm and down the pub by 8pm?
Is that alright with everyone?
