Sorry I don't know the answer, but before getting an auger consider your soil. The flints in ours make them very difficult to use.

Changing the olives in compression fittings on 3/4 and 22mm works,never had to try the 1/2 to 15mm,but I presume a plumbing supplies would stock something,one is hardly going to plumb the whole house ...

LAS in Lampeter supply skips,well they used to,i tend to take stuff there,but like you said,its Free with a small 2 wheel trailer but you pay if 4 wheel trailer.

The leveret was inside the temporary netting I'd put up around the veg bed last night, but it didn't seem to be eating anything just 'there'.

Surely an old electric cement mixer would do the same job,without the hasle of tumbling by hand.
