https://thorium.rocks/ Seems to be gaining a good reputation and I have just imported everything from firefox to it. It feels fast and uses less memory than firefox. It is chrome based and so there are loads of available extensions. I have just got the latest Kubuntu and want to shake things up a bit But thorium also works on windows.

if i warm up the steampunk linux server i will give it a go, having a fairly stable windows based thing with firefox and plenty of memory etc, i am a bit reluctant to alter things too much

firefox has done me well for a long time on both win and linux, with plenty of custom bits, like scholar and assorted niche search engines along with ad and track blockers to add depth to the avast stuff, i recon as secure and stable as anything with an internet connection can be, infamous last w

i have franchised most security and maintenance etc to avast which seems to work and for the price saves me a lot of faff
when tt needed her work pooter to talk to the printer i tried to help by letting her IT Dept find the correct drivers from my machine, they nearly lost their system when mine responded to a stranger in the works
