I've just read the "Home Made Pasta" article, and wanted to say I thought it was excellent- clear and well written, very good pictures.
I'm sure it will inspire some to have a go if they ahven't already. Good idea to include the costings too.
Excellent.

Cheers guest, you saved us the trouble of a post there!

I can only echo what you said, lovely clear pics too. I haven't done any for a while but now that the ladies have started laying again and I've ooooh so nearly got some rocket to eat I'll definitely be having another bash soon.

Thanks Twoscoops, it's a really interesting article

I thought it was excellent too, the photos were very useful, and like guest I thought the costings were an excellent idea.

Do you eat the rocket with it as a salad or use it as a stuffing for ravioli or what? Enquiring minds need to know.

I've not tried it in ravioli yet, but that's part of my plan. Have put it in with the warm pasta or have it as a salad. Of course I won't have any left to mature if I keep stealing seedlings from the tray.

I think we could have a nice conversation about early salads in grow your own...

I made a whole load of rocket pesto last year for the freezer. The flavour was "interesting" - we ate it all, but I'm still not entirely sure whether I actually liked it!

Excellent article, the pictures really make it.

I'm quite jealous of your granite worktop too.

I think you can get them new for about £25, with separate noodle attachments. This one on Ebay has the noodle cutter built-in, and is currently £7.50.

Having read the article I'm now disappointed to have sold our machine at a carboot several years back.

Good article Two-scoops - I was amused after the comments about my wine rack in my kitchen photo that no one has yet commented on the beer bottle in your photos!

perfect timing, twoscoops. I bought my pasta machine last week (retail therapy after a noisy day at work!) and have just acquired some 00 flour. Seem to have rather a glut of eggs too.........

I love the pictures of the sun shining through the drying pasta, and will be trying it out at the weekend (hopefully complete with sunshine!) How long does it keep when dried, and does it take longer to cook after drying?

Your kitchen looks very similar to the one we're about to have fitted - anything you wish you'd known? It looks great.

(The pasta machine was 12.99 from argos, and has spaghetti and taglietelle bits. I'm looking forward to ravioli - anybody got a favourite filling?)

A really good article, twoscoops, well thought out, I especially like photo that has someone leaning on your worksurface - after Julie's comments I take it you were doing all the hard work while your mates drank beer!!!

And why not

p.s. thanks WW for the info about the Argos pasta machine - will have to pay them a visit.
