Anyone planning to make stuff for Thingymas ( be it pressies or hamper type goodies) Shall we challenge each other to make a start on it? |

Started last night but I ran out of string... Peg loom rug. I need to buy an enormous ball of it (bit like the one my work colleages gave away to the charity shop last week, dammit!)
Do the strings go away from you or do they hang down towards you?? See, I knew I would forget. |

I've had an idea. Where do people buy those pretty coloured bits of fleece for felting? |

Ah, I need to check my bid on some dodgy bloke's lab kit anyway - I'll go and look. Can you remember the seller? |

He's making you bid? I feel sure he needed something knitting or needle felting... No sorry, I just liked the colour range and they were not overly expensive. I need to buy a quantity to make a witches hat with Ruby. Apparently there is a shop in Carmarthen. Think I am there in a week or so and I will have a look. |

I've already made a start, I made a little green and black knitted cat for one of my God-daughters yesterday, and also made a start on the hamper goodies with some courgette (well, marrow) and runner bean chutney and some gooseberry and vanilla jam.
My niece wants me to knit her some clothes for her baby doll, I'm thinking of making a little Christmas outfit, red dress and a cape with white fluffy edges and some black booties |

Right ahead of you Mrs F! I started a month or so ago when the lavender was ready. I have a box of lavender scented hearts ready to go into small 'smelly' hampers with some soap, already done and some bath bombs, not made yet and some pretty flowery flannels that I bought back in June. Thats the aunts and my sis sorted. |

Or you could try Texere. Excellent service, good quality stuff.
www.texere.co.uk I think the bit you want is something like spinners. |

Forgot to say: ths scarf from the scarf challenge is for my mum; I'm doing a different one for the old chap's aunt and another for the boy's fiancee.
I've got the stuff for cards (needlefelted) and then I'll have to decide what else to do. And penny's doing me a splendid tie for the old chap. |

What sorts of things were you thinking of Jamanda? You can buy fleece from Moral Fibre, Wingham wool works, or if I have something suitable I'm more than happy to help - no charge |

If you want merino, crafty notions do stuff that hasn't had the unspeakable museling done (I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it's apparently Not Nice)
Hmmmm. Thingymas. The booze, jams and whatnot for the hampers are all done, of course. I might do some pickled onions. I'm probably also going to do felted or fulled wheat bag covers. Not sure which yet, although I suppose I ought to make a start. Or at least a list...... |

I might do my pickled onions today actually, now you mention it
Here's my kitty cat (bit messy, I know):
I might have to get hold of some orangey stripey wool for the next one |
