My birds seem to have some sort of crawlers. I initially though NFM as they are teeny weeny and I only spot them occasionally after letting them out.
I treated both them and the coop a week ago and they are much reduced.
After having a bit of a google (and reading the horror stories) I am now a bit stumped. There are no clusters around the vent, nothing under wings, and they look happy and healthy. No vent pecking feather pulling or scratching. No scabs or any such thing.
The only time I become aware is after letting them out and collecting eggs. I occasionally get one or two on my arm.
What are they?
Will frontline work?
What about steaming the coop as per redmite.

I'm confused, I thought they were redmite?

In which case they will survive nuclear holocuast. I thought the steam cleaner would zap them for sure, but it didn't. I can lend you some ivermectin if you want to try that? It's off label, but suggested egg withdrawal is 7 days.

Chickens pick up all sorts of things but the ivermectin should sort it out.
