Popcorn kernels
Veg oil
Maple syrup
Butter
Whole curry spices. I used cumin, fennel seeds, poppy seeds, ground cardamom, and salt and pepper. Oh, and some chilli flakes. Turned out the fresh chilli I had was far too hot.

Oil in pan with a few kernels. When they pop, throw in everything else.

Wait til it stops popping, stir or shake, off the heat.

Serve while your guests are drooling at the mutton confit you're making a mess of.

That sounds really odd/unusual - the popcorn I mean.

Sounds yummy (not the mutton). Have you thought of focussing on the food and not on downsizer?

There is room in my life for both. And more besides!

I've edited the recipe in the original post, for accuracy.
