Well worth developing and managing properly. Downland turf is similarly under represented and being damaged by all sorts of things including people walking and dog fouling round here. Ancient woodland is also a very small part of our landscape. All of them need to be valued for what they are and proper management.
The more people are made aware, by whatever method, of this sort of thing the better Rob. Not many people may have viewed this, but they may have mentioned it to other people, and certainly over the last few years it has been in the media more. We have managed to get hold of the Facebook page that started for our wood, and now we are putting things up there that people ought to know. It all helps, although you (probably wouldn't )would be surprised at the people who manage to not see signs, FB page or anything when they come looking for bluebells in June (April/May here), or vandalise the place.
