Radio 4 Tuesday 11:30 Politically Incorrect and out on a Limb?
1/2. Paul Jackson begins a two-part look at American Comedy and how it has coped with the aftermath of 9/11.

Comedians Lewis Black, Will Durst and Jon Lovitz are amongst those exploring the impact of what's been described as, 'perhaps the least funny time in history'. Has it made them more political, or did they have to be more careful what they railed against? And is comedy now more aware of the world beyond the 'Land of the Free'?

This one sounds interesting.
There are some very funny American comics and commentators at the moment.
David Rovics is among the most political, he is a bit like Attila the Stockbroker and has done a couple of gigs with him.
I will try and find some links and post them.

There's a difference between telling a joke and being one.
