I often wonder how the law can be beefed up on spammers? despite the fact that they use servers from all over the world, ultimately spammers have to provide a point where money changes hands and that should surely be traceable. What I guess the issue is, is proving that they originated the spam directly or via affliliates.

Remember he's being nicked for fraud not spamming.

As for tracing, pinpoint where the 'crime' took place, then you have to use that countries legal process. It's a pain in the arse but that's how the Internet grew and continues to grow, no rules, just general agreements.
