There is information out there but it doesn't seem to be that popular in the UK. I wonder if looking at European sites or even Far Eastern sites might provide more info.

yeah- theres plenty of information for tropical climates and catfish/tilapia etc but not much for the UK climate.... hopefully someone might pop along with some info or the articles/books may be useful.

We have a pond in Portugal which is used to keep fish to eat, the old owner kept Trout, eel's, crayfish, and some Portuguese fish but I cant remember the name of them

Going to teach the girls to fish for there tea

Treacodactyl: cheers, I've had a good play on the forums.
Pricey: Pool sounds fab, how large is it? we can only see the corner from the photo.

Think I can now extend the pool to around 10' x 10' and my parents are also getting into this and have just cleared the pool on their farm.... I'll post updates here and let you all know how we get on....
