beautiful, you lucky so and so.

With that amount of crab you have options for a crab feast - white meat simply served with brown bread, crab pate, spider crab in pasta, crab bisque.......

I see loads of them when diving off Anglesey within easy reach and they don't move that fast. They look decidedly unappetising to me, then again I don't like seafood that much.

This is my first try of them but I am told they are as good / better than lobster.

Delicious, I'm jealous. I prefer fresh sea food cooked and served as simply as possible. You have rather a lot though...

All crab is arguably tastier than lobster. It just doesn't come in such divine meaty chunks.

The big one is in the pot & will take about 30 mins or so to cook. I am hoping that I can get the smaller ones in in one go.
I think the first will be a simple bread butter & a dipping sauce the other we will have to see.

Hours of fun getting the meat out of fresh-boiled crab claws with a nutcracker and crochet hook / some other pointy thing, washed down with a white wine that's not too dry, and a bit buttery/rich.

Lucky you

I love spider crab even more than the usual edible brown crab sold in the fishmongers. Why can you buy them in France but not here?

They have more brown meat, which is lovely with some fresh bread and a glass of muscadet.
