Not long got home here, many thanks to Jamanda, Sean and BW for putting us up (or is that putting up with us) amd to Helen for driving me. It was wonderful seeing everyone, I'm very very taken with my tiara...

Yes, it was good to meet everyone and many thanks to all those who organised and helped out. Sorry for any muddy food prints as well.

Twas indeed a bit damp down in Devon and hopefully I'll be a bit more awake at the next do!

Somewhere there exists a photo a bloke in the pub took on his phone of his mate (bald as a bowling ball) wearing my tiara.

Some good typos in this thread: must have been a good do!

"Knitted GAT" (How do you knit a gun?)
"Muddy FOOD prints" (That one I understand.)

Oh, and a special thanks to Sean ... I'm looking at fiddles right now online

Don't buy one on line if you can avoid it. A decent music shop will have done a proper set up, so you'll pay an extra twenty quid or so but get something that's massively more playable. Which will mean that you'll be far more likely to stick with using it.

That's not a machine gun, it's a self-loading rifle.

It would be illegal in the UK - unless it was knitted in yellow wool.

Now that would be just silly.
