What a lovely pair, M. I didn't realise they came in black & white. A definite asset for the garden I would say .

You must be joking, Judith! They're not going anywhere near the garden, well, not unaccompanied, anyway! I want those strawberries for ME! They're not standard, showable birds, but that's not the point. I think I want a couple of geese and a few hens now. Before the pigs arrive. And the goats. Don't think I want sheep or cattle... rabbits, though... hmmm...

They're just gorgeous...and what's that I hear you say Tucker? You want to come and live with Bugs and Treacodactyl?

Pardon, there, Bib? You're not getting up until I come to collect you?

Sorry Mochyn, the ducks have spoken, shall I pick them up this evening?

That's the trouble - once you start, it becomes addictive. I collected another pair of weaners last Friday (GOS this time) - and they are looking absolutely adorable in the barn at the mo. I did turn down the 6 cade lambs that I was offered last week, though. If it had just been two or three, I might have succumbed, but 6 sounded just too many. Well, this time, at least!

Awww, they look cute. Lundy has said we are not to extend our family for the time being - so 7 hens, a cat and a horse it is.

Well, we might get a couple of new P.O.L in the next week or two

Bugs: your Welsh has improvedlately then! They are strictly Welsh speaking ducks and wouldn't dream of leaving the land of their feathers. I'm picking up a chocolate pair on Thursday: B&T say they should be called Rum and Raisin!

And now, we have (entering stage left) Bronwen & Blofeld from Welshpool who are chocolate runners and very handsome. I brought them home yesterday and took them into the run, undid their basket and let them out anticipating havoc, but they all rushed towards each other like they were already the best of freinds! They've been inseperable ever since, but I'm still having trouble getting them into their house at night

I'll post pics. over the weekend.

OK looks like the evening struggle is over. We were out late last night (Richard II at Ludlow Castle) and when we got back, about 1 a.m., they were all in their hosue. Do I have extremely intelligent ducks?

Still haven't done the family portrait, though...
