Anyone see this last night? I thought it had the potential to be quite interesting, but unfortunately it was made by someone with Attention Deficit Disorder - no item lasted longer than a couple of minutes, nothing was explored in any depth at all, and it jumped from subject to subject apparently at random.

A sadly missed opportunity.

It started out promisingly, but the emphasis was clealry on entertainment rather than being informative. As you say, a missed opportunity. Ravinder's trip to Kenya to see the notorious green beans could have been really informative, but I think the producers had deliberately decided to keep it lightweight rather than trying to challenge our views.

Why do programme makers think no one wants to view anything that's challenging or educational in any way, shape or form.

Is there nothing more to life than being entertained?

Rant, rant, rant - we've not even got a TV and it annoys me.

Remember, they are aiming at the thickest common denominator....

unfortunately, we are a nation that thriveson Britain's got talent,X factor and soaps...

I think I watch about 3 progs a week and they are either on BBC2or the History channel (or the Onedin Line - which Im hooked by)
