Has anyone got any experience with EYP?

One of my girls had problems with a prolapsed vent over the winter but we were able to get her through that.

Since then she has had problems laying, going weeks on end without laying an egg, laying softies/thin shells/tiny eggs.

Yesterday she was peaky, wanting to stay in the hen shed all day.
When she came out she had a good long drink and a poop which was watery and had yellow bits in that looked like yolk.
She's still the same this morning. I've brought her into the house, given her a warm bath and syringed a mixture of olive oil & live yoghurt.

Would offering her tuna or fishy cat food help? I have read of this helping?

I'm 99% sure it's EYP but can't really find out much on the net to help her.

Any ideas please?

Broken eggs? As Bodger says, sometimes you just need to do the right thing and cull.

I am with them I'm afraid after reading a suggestion that every few months or so you drain the build up of fluids out of the hen. How many hens do you have Haze?

Thanks guys, I too have been thinking that it would be kinder to have her put down. There's no way we could cull her ourselves, we just couldn't and I have a lot of respect for everyone that can. She's going down hill fast now poor girl, cuddled up to the radiator We've got four other hens, two of which we've only had a week. The other two are going to miss her as she's boss

Yes, lots of experience, I cull them, sorry. Intensive antibiotics can help but IME I still end up culling after a few months...
