I've updated my website and rejiggled a bit. If anyone has time to run an eye over it, either stylistically or for grammar/spelling, I'd welcome feedback.

Thank you thank you thank you!

From the home page, first box, last paragraph: For example, I have a five year old hen who is still layed reasonably well last summer, in between raising two broods of chicks for me.
From the section on Despatching: Here I have written out the two methods I use - the Broomstick Method for older birds and Poultry Dispatchers for youngers ones.

Nice easy to read, and understand website - even for a chicken duffer like me!

Thanks, 12bore - I will pick those up later on.

I am starting to want to change the colour ... am putting it off, it's such a timewaster

I've just had a quick look.
Links...you've got them set to take you away from your site. New tab/window is better. Especially for ones embedded in text.
Dunno as it's worth linking to Wernlas if they're shutting down anyway.

Really like Cheryl. Clear, good font & pictures. Like it.

If you like we can reciprocally link so that if anyone is looking for breeds the other does, we can share....ieg i dont do Barnevelders or any of your breeds, and you dont do Orpingtons.
Interested?

Traditional utility breeds will not lay as much as a purpose-bred laying hybrid in it's first year.

and again on the breeds page

The Araucana in the breed is what gives the Cream Legbar it's distinctive crest and the pretty blue-green egg it lays.

Have you considered putting your twitter feed onto the home page in the upper half of the page?

Thanks folks, I will get on to it when I've done the VAT return, all good points.

Lorraine - yes, definitely!

Vegplot - I decided against it, because my fb 'greenmeadow' page feeds in to twitter, so there would be duplication; and I don't just use twitter for business, so I thought it was better to keep it simple and just have the fb widget thingy.

Not at all. Many webpages don't work well on one, and many people use them, or similar as a device these days. I was given one by work; would never have bought one.

Out of interest Chez - is the site built using a template from somewhere, or all "hand made" so to speak?

I hand-code it using html, in gedit.

It is very simple code, which I will eventually fine-tune so it runs through the w3schools html validator properly. I think that's why it works on different platforms okay, it's very basic.

Do feel free to steal the source-code, anyone who wants to do their own!
