Bye bye Gizmo.

You and Twizzle came into my life just over five years ago, with the lovely Jaki, and you single-pawedly converted me from a cat person into a dog person.

You gave us so much love, but your seventeen and three-quarter years caught up with you, and now you are in the garden under an apple tree.

Happy memories tinged with sadness - Gizmo looked like a bit of a character.

My Gizmo (jack russell / yorkshire terror cross) lasted until he was 18. Been gone more than 10 years now but still missed. Sorry you've lost yours too.

17 3/4 years is a damned fine life.

Unfortunately, knowing you'll 'probably' outlive the best friend you'll ever have is the biggest downer to owning a dog, but we owners don't dwell on it that often.

As I have tonight, my mutt just got the last of my supper in honour of yours.
