Can anyone help with a cravat pattern please? Does it need to be cut on the bias, how long are they usually and do they go narrow in the middle section. Measurements would be really useful, thanks

depends on how he wants to wear it and whether its with a modern collar or an upright stock, Gareth usually goes for a strip the full 60inch width of the cloth and in his case about 5 inches wide after hemming, but some people prefere double that so they can fold it before wrapping. There are so many possible ways to wear a cravat, some of the Victorian patterns need alot of extra length, more modern versions only really go round the neck once.
