CL (or anyone who know the East Dorset area)

Are there any local breeders you'd recommend?

Run is going up this weekend and I'm on holiday the week starting 16th June so looking to get 4 POLs when I'm off work, thinking maybe Colombian Blacktail and Rhode Rock (or any other decent layers, don't think I'll really decide on a breed until I've bought them)

I'm a bit vague about geography that far east, but Holly Vickery near Wincanton has a very good rep. Not sure she does hybrids though.

My sister wants a colombian blacktail. Can you let me know if you find any?

These are all nearby - and I've been to all of them, except Chalkhill poultry and have been pleased.

www.Chickengear.co.uk

www.Racefarmpoultry.co.uk

And it's always worth a call to these folk - Woolsbridge Farm Feeds
Woolsbridge Farm Ringwood Rd, Three Legged Cross, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 6RE

Also, there is a page on FB - Dorset Poultry. Also New Forest Poultry.

Hope this helps - and that you get your hens

Amazing, I'll check them out, thanks CL.

I've been absent on here of late, too busy to get on the comp but I'll post pics when I have them in a couple of weeks.
