2 egg whites
6 oz icing sugar
9 oz ground almonds
Almond essence.
Whip the egg whites until stiff, then fold them into the sugar and almonds with the essence.
Chill overnight.
Shape into about 15 lozenges and put on greaseproof paper covered in icing sugar on a baking tray. Shake icing sugar all over.
Bake in a warmish oven until sort of set: NOT browned!

1=1 can be interesting

that sounds ace as wee nibble things

a very similar mix and method makes an ace topping for mince pies but the mix was a mystery to me

i am pretty sure i might find a jar of mincemeat lurking

decent eggs is an issue here, no chooks and a less than reliable supply chain, umm
