A303 Anyone?

This brilliant gem on BBC4 follows the use and history of the road that Stonehenge lies on.

If you've not seen this it's great! Very Happy

Morris travellers, murder, intrigue, beautiful scenery - what more could you want.

@ Sally-in-Wales and Gruff - brilliant bronze age metalwork for you guys

@ Gardening-girl - this goes right past Dillington Smile

Enjoy

xx

It was less boring than I expected it to be.

Lost count the number of times I drove that route going from Sussex to Chard over a decade or so of visiting parents in my little Mini 850 + family.

Quite a good programme but I felt he could have dealt with the historical aspects a little more deeply.

I thought it was entertaining as a 'taster' for the area. It's such an old landscape he must have had to miss out loads.

I liked the car Embarassed

It didn't do the area any harm at all. The Moggie was fantastic as was my Mini - I loved that car.

I want one with integral goats.

You could call the show A303: Goats and ghosts.

I know this road so well as I only live a few miles from it. Didn't get around to watching the programme this time round but enjoyed it last time it was on. robkb

Did the tv show have anything to do with this?

After all the hours I've spent in traffic jams by Stonehenge, I'm tempted to take it to read in the car next time we're down that way.

In fact it is Smile, kind of that condensed into an hours TV.
