Chive honeyJust out of interest I was watching the bees all over our many chive plants which have flowers on, as you get the main flavour of the plant in the honey ie. heather honey would you get chive honey?. Assuming you do can you separate it or does it contaminate a whole batch?.

In the winter bees will take ivy which does have a peculiar taste if collected - sweet on the tip of your tongue, but very bitter as it is swallowed. However the bees seem to like it, and it keeps them going thru' the winter.
As we will probably get another damp summer the bees will probably use any chive honey they produce as their own stores, so i wouldnt be really concerned.
