Did you know...

A little something to brighten up these long dark winter evenings - & look forward to the warm summer, foraging in the fields for shrooms...

Did you know that, according to the Guiness book of Records, the largest edible shroom ever found was a giant puffball (Calvatia gigantea) measuring 2.64 m (8 ft 8 in) in circumference and weighing 22 kg (48 lb 8 oz). Found by Jean-Guy Richard of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1987. Makes the foot diameter jobbies I've found on occasions look pathetic... Shocked

What about 37 acres of *one* specimen of honey fungus?
