First Yellow Chanterelles of 07 picked today!

Every year, without fail, this little patch comes early.
I always pick them small because they dry out and die otherwise.










Whoops, not that one. Sorry Cab.




Threw them in with some minted Jersey Royals , I know there hardly local and not as good as they used to be.......but they taste bloody good. Roast Leg of lamb and greens tonight.
Just made some Elderflower Cordial with flowers I found this afternoon aswell.

Great to see your photos - I love Girolles!

We've been foraging all week and there's still a few to come judging by the smell in the woods !

What we've found so far makes up for no morelles in our area of France this year...mumble, grumble...moan... Wink

We even got a few (wormy Confused ) Spring Ceps.
