Horse manure for a hedge?I'm digging a trench To plant a hedge.
I've a ton of very old, rotted horse manure. Can I line the bottom of the trench with it?
Cheers!

You would be better incorporating it with the soil IMHO, but either is better than none.

a hedge likes a good start ,as it matures it should be able to feed itself with bird droppings and random dead sheep
