Penne con salsiccia (pasta with sausage sauce)

Serves 4

3oz butter
1 onion
Few cloves garlic
11 oz sausage meat
Sprig of fresh rosemary, finely chopped
5 fl oz dry white wine
Freshly grated nutmeg
Pinch dried cloves
Salt and pepper
13oz dried penne rigate pasta
Freshly grated Parmesan

Heat butter, fry onion and garlic gently until soft.
Add sausage meat and break up with a fork
Fry until browned
Add Rosemary and wine and cook gently for 10 minutes
Add nutmeg, cloves and salt and pepper
Add cooked pasta and cheese and mix

Put the pasta on about the same time you add the sausage meat.

The intention was there but we worked so hard that day we forgot to buy the sausages.
