I think livestock methane is going to get more closely dissected in the future. I hope so anyway.
If you think about it, the methane from a grazing cow is coming from carbon that the grass has sequestered from the atmosphere. Yes the methane is a more potent greenhouse gas, but it has a lot shorter residence time in the atmosphere. The real trouble comes in when you're pulling up ancient carbon and using that to grow cow feed. Suddenly the carbon that cow is eating is has a connection with carbon that had been sequestered under ground for millenia

But the climate scientists ,that crowd in Chattam house and the Greens have dismissed?
