Treating hardwood windows

Am about to embark on fitting new windows to our house, they are Idigbo hardwood and are totally untreated, so need some kind of protection, also double glazed and I am finding it all a bit confusing regarding some finishes could compromise the seals on the double glazing apparently .
Thoughts, recommendations and advice greatly appreciated Smile

the compromise the seal issue is the thing to get right ,

as to the wood ,setting oils such as boiled linseed are good as they are waterproof ,breathable and fairly stable but check with the manufacturers specs re what oils /solvents etc could mess up the dg units

Osmo do loads of eco friendly finishes that have a good rep for durability
sean are helpful in my experience.
